PLANE Scribbles
Mile-High Thoughts in no Particular Order
3:30 AM is just too god-damned early for a trip to the airport
But I like it when they mention no vaping allowed on flights.
No tampering with the lavatory smoke detectors.
No chewing tobacco allowed.
I like it because they always fail to mention Zyn. And if they called me out I’d simply say, “but these are nicotine salts, not tobacco.”
A real deal loophole, if you’re into such things. I hope they never mention Zyn. And if they do I’ll keep doing it anyway. I’ll just have to be slightly more discrete about it. And if they come up to me right now and say something I’ll just blame it on fatigue because,

I always feel like I have contraband on me when I pass through TSA. I haven’t had contraband of any sort in years.
No drugs.
No weapons.
I’m pretty boring these days.
But I’m always worried that I’m going to walk through TSA and there’s going to be an 8-ball of cocaine in my sock that I’m somehow clueless about (“?”) and a machete that I packed under the t-shirts and underwear in my suitcase in the midst of a fugue state and that I had no control over my actions at the time because I do sleepwalk on occasion and I’d be screaming this at the top of my lungs while being beaten by TSA agents in a makeshift interrogation room, cigarettes being put out on my forehead and so forth and telling them that honestly I shouldn’t even be here right now because,

And I left my book on Heraclitus’ fragments back at home. I don’t know what I’m going to do. Perhaps I’ll just recycle the fragments I’ve already posted with new photos.
New scenery with old fragments.
New wine in old wine skins, or however that goes.
Those fragments were written in the time of the Buddha, predating Christ by about 500 years. And much like the coliseum in Rome, it’s incredible to me that they’ve witnessed so much over the millennia.
Emperors.
The holy wars.
The world wars.
Pandemics.
The Internet.
Memes.
Substack.
Philip Traylen and his campaign of high-stakes beggary.
And now they suffer me while I suffer the fact that I forgot my book and I forgot my book because,
